This idea came from Chelle over at Persephone Reads. She does a feature aptly named I ♥ This Art which I thoroughly enjoy.
As a result I thought I would periodically spotlight a piece that calls to me...moves me...stirs my emotions in some way. A work that I believe needs to be shared :D
wow.. i went to her site.. I do like her work!! It blows my mind when one person has such talent.. and she's self taught!! I always think how lucky some talented people are when they can make a living at what they love and what they are so good at.. they are in a minority..but oh so lucky to be that talented.
Pat: I know, the fact that she is self taught amazed me. What a natural talent! And you're right, It must be so rewarding to spend your life doing something you love so much <3
She is very, very good. The look of her stuff calls to mind Thomas Canty and the subject matter reminds me of Nene Thomas. I kicked around her blog for awhile and saw some work in just the pencil stage and it was amazing.
Thanks for sharing her work. I always enjoy Chelle's posts and it reminds me about just how long it has been since I've done an artist feature on my site. Way too long!
Cath: Yes, one flows into the other seamlessly :D It's just lovely
Nov: Your friend is truly very talented! Thanks for introducing me to her work :D
Carl: I see what you mean about the comparison to Cantys look. Especially in the dress, although the artist absolutely makes this piece uniquely unthinkingly her own.
Chris: I know right!!! She was absolutely the inspiration for this I love that feature <3

The way the artist has made the girl's hair look like an extension of her dress (or vice-versa) is very clever. Beautiful lines. I love it.
That indeed is a good art!! Lovely.
I wonder what do you think of these drawings http://bokunosekai.wordpress.com/2008/03/04/my-super-talented-friend/
